Four short stories set during the Clone Wars era of Star Wars.

First up we have Jedi Saesee Tiin basically looking for trouble in a frontier town and befriending a young thief, before pulling off a heist of his own. This was fun, but relied a bit too heavily on the villains being complete idiots.

In the second story, the H.O.P.E. squad (High Orbit Precision Entry. No, really.) pulls off a rescue of a Jedi trapped in a high atmospheric station on a gas giant planet. Good action, although there was a bit of a stylistic clash with some grim themes and a somewhat goofy-looking Jedi character in a bit of a silly predicament.

The third story was entirely grim with Ki-Adi-Mundi facing the realities of leading half-trained Jedi apprentices into battle.

Last up was more of a buddy-cop story with Plo Koon and Kit Fisto having a running disagreement over their philosophies toward the criminal justice system while they try to deal with a prison riot.

These stories were a bit limited by page-count restrictions, but still managed to deliver a decent amount of action and some emotional punch in spite of me not knowing these character or the Clone Wars setting very well.

Rating: 8/10
