I still read every single issue of Elflord in the 1980s.
And you know what? At its best moments, it was a really good character-driven sword & sorcery story with some great dialogue, some interesting characters, and some good swashbuckling action. Barry Blair and Aircel were also innovators in digital coloring and produced some really eye-catching covers and vivid interior art.
Doing the research for this, I found out the creator passed away last year. Rest in peace, Barry Blair.
