While there are lots of comics that I think that comic fans should read for various reasons, I can think of one that I truly believe everyone should read. It's Art Spiegelman's Maus, adapted from Spiegelman's father's memories as a Holocaust survivor.
This is history that must never be forgotten.

I don't have anything in my catalog of the kind of social importance that I described above, but the comic of mine that I would choose as my "everyone must read" title is Stone, in which I try to challenge some of the stereotypes of the depictions of women in fantasy/adventure comics.
